(Accessory for the 1.5-inch and 2-inch Separating Mounting Bases)

The Mounting Platform (or Spacer) is used when installing Separating Mounting bases on boats – it is not required (just an optional mounting accessory) – it means when bolting the receiver to the boat, there is no need to drill the large hole into the hull for the button on the receiver.  Install the Mounting Platform using the 5 holes for bolts, and then install the Receiver on top of it.  Very easy.
